Data Sharing Partnerships
The eCare Framework is now managed by eHealth. Paul Rhodes, eHealth Programme Director, Chaired an initial DSP Chair’s meeting on 29th September 2011, the main purpose of the meeting, at this point, was to advise the group that the eHealth Architecture and Design branch carried out a detailed technical review of eCare and this will help inform a balanced strategy for the way forward, taking into account financial considerations and the possible provision of a competent technical solution. The group were also advised that a Data Sharing Technologies Board (DSTB) was being set up, a strategic group with ownership vested in partnerships. This group are to look at national and local technical solutions in more detail. The initial meeting of the DSTB took place on 24th November 2011, the Chair is Murdoch Carberry from Renfrewshire Council, and the next meeting is planned for 19th December 2011, with the terms of reference being agreed. Senior staff from National Information systems Group, who provide the eCare service management, will be presenting information on costs associated with eCare assets, to assist the formulation of recommendations for the way forward. The next meeting of the DSP Chair’s is on 19th January 2012 to consider recommendations tabled by the
DSTB, following the meeting on 19th December 2011. CPM went live in Moray on 6th December 2011 between CareFirst Social Work system and SEEMIS Education system. Moray is the fifth local authority to implement this system across Scotland, and although only linking social work and education at this time. Discussions have now commenced in January 2012 to incorporate NHS Grampian through the NHS Grampian Patient Management System (PMS). Electronic Single Shared Assessment (eSSA) The Partnership implemented data sharing of eSSA on 17th February 2010 between the Aberdeenshire CF6 system and NHS Grampian NeSSA system. The early implementation of eSSA is now complete with the decision taken to decommission the service on 11th November 2011. Benefits Realisation Framework
The Scottish Government endorsed the benefits baseline work as a model for other Data Sharing Partnerships to utilise.
